Once I Was Walking in the World

1. Once I was walking in the world,
Wondering the meaning of my life,
You came to gain me with Your great love,
Made me part of Your masterpiece.
Thank You Lord, I'm now in the church,
Fill me with all Your rich fullness,
Walk in the good works prepared for me,
To express Your wisdom divine. (Eph 2:10. A.)

Lord, be my living, pattern and goal,
My power and my secret,
Let me lean on You through all my days.

2. Though You gave me salvation sure,
I'm often troubled by my self,
But Lord, Your mercy daily reached me,
And You've revealed You're my High Priest.
Within me be my advocate,
Able to save me to the end,
You're living always to intercede,
If only I would come to You. (Heb 7:25. K.)

3. Led by You Lord, I have no fear,
I hear Your voice and follow You,
You gave me freely life eternal,
And told me I'm in Your great hands.
Eternal life never runs out,
Father and Son's hand never fail.
Satan cannot snatch me from Your hands,
I'm secure by Your keeping power. (John 10:28-29. C.)

4. Both to be filled and to hunger,
And both to abound and to lack,
Now I am able to do all things,
Because You are my dear secret.
In everything and in all things,
Initiated into Christ,
Living in Him who empowers me,
O Lord, You are my jubilee. (Phil 4:12-13. D.)

5. This is the gospel I received,
Wonderful beyond man can tell,
The Father keeps me and blesses me,
In His power and in His love.
God makes His face shine upon me,
To be my grace continually,
His countenance lift up to give peace,
He's my all for eternity. (Num 6:24-26. R.)
